We will need to report your actual December turnover and employees by the 28/01/2021 extended from the standard 14th of the month. Please assist us by completing your December figures AND January estimates as soon as practical.
JOBKEEPER EXTENSION 2
Eligibility is dependent on your October – December turnover 2020 vs 2019 being down by 30%.
The rate will be a minimum payment of $1000 per fortnight for full-time staff and $650 for those working less than 80 hours in the 28 day reference period.
If you missed out for the July – September period you may still be eligible for the second extension and just need to have been eligible for the initial JobKeeper.
We will be assessing your position when we return from our Christmas break and need to have the application lodged by the 31/01/2021 so again will need your October to December figures
JOBMAKER CREDIT
Started on the 7/10/2020 and will last until the 06/10/2021.
Basically, if you take on a new employee to fill a newly created position, you will be eligible to claim a credit of $200 per week for a 16 to 29 year old or $100 for a 30 to 35 year old.
The eligibility criteria is that the new employee needed to have been out of work and received government support for at least one month in the three months before they were hired.
EARLY ACCESS TO SUPER
If your working hours have been reduced by more than 20% or you have been made redundant you are eligible to access up to $10,000 from your superannuation. This opportunity will cease on the 31/12/2020.
NEW BUDGET DEPRECIATION MEASURES
The recent budget announcement that businesses are eligible to instantly write off the cost of newly acquired plant has made a concession that allows a business to opt out of being required to claim the entire cost or write off their plant balances on an item by item basis. This will assist businesses that would otherwise be adversely impacted.
CHRISTMAS CLOSURE
We will be closed for the Christmas/New Year period from 5.00pm on the 23/12/2020 and will reopen on the 04/01/2021. Unfortunately no phone or email services will be monitored.
